5 Mistakes Israelites Make During Holy Days

Holy Convocations

We have Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread coming up.

They are a representation of the love YAH has for us, his children.

Do you want to act like a wild heathen or an Israelite?

If you choose Israelite, then keep reading because this is important.

Let’s dive in.

We don’t get involved

1. Not reading the story

Reading the story should be the first thing you do. If you have a family then they should be reading it too.

Reading the story will remind you of how important our Holy Convocations are.

This will help to prepare your mind so you can put it into a solemn frame.

2. They don’t give/volunteer

In the scriptures, it’s a lamb for a house at Passover. If a house is too small, then a person and their neighbor share.

Would you like to have a feast where people showed up and didn’t want to pay, or even help feed or clean up afterward?

Of course not.

It doesn’t matter if you are a member or visiting.

If you are an Israelite, you should ask if there is any way you can help the organizers.

These are solemn feast days

3. People don’t spiritually prepare

The evening or sundown is the beginning of our day, so that’s when our feast starts.

Hebrews show up after work, school, or whatever they have been doing that day. Including the great people preparing food, drink, and the location!

People are usually stressed from the day and don’t take the time to relax.

This leads to short tempers and spiritual strife between Israelites.

It’s important to take 5 to 15 minutes to relax and or meditate. Slow down to enjoy the fellowship when you arrive.

We are supposed to be majestic

4. Complain the entire Holy Convocation

Israelites will have an issue with the class that’s taught.

Some will have an issue with the food that’s served.

There will be others who find something else to take issue with.

Is this you?

If you have to comment, be polite. If you can’t leave.

In it can wait until the next day, then wait.

5. Treat gluttony as a virtue

Sisters do a great job cooking the food, and sometimes there is alcohol to drink.

This doesn’t mean you should take more than you can eat. You never know who might arrive later.

Think about the people who made the food and serving you to make sure they have a chance to partake!

Yes, the wine is usually flowing into cups and glasses.

Stay sober. It’s embarrassing to be the drunkard at a solemn assembly.

Conclusion

There are a lot of ways the solemn feast days can go wrong. You can have so many other things on your mind that it is easy to forget why you are there.

Take the time to remember the patience our Heavenly Father shows us every day with the grace he gives us. Also, remember the grace we have because of his forgiveness.

I wrote a blog giving an example of what can happen if we don’t forgive.

Apply these things to the Holy Convocations so you can fill it with a majestic spirit.

What do you think are mistakes that Hebrews make during Passover?

We do not support breaking any laws of the government where our people live. Our people can keep some Israelite laws, statutes, commandments, and judgments no matter where we live.
